About
HUHA NZ, also known as Helping You Help Animals, is a registered charitable trust and no-kill animal shelter established in 2001. Serving communities across New Zealand with a purpose-built sanctuary in rural Wellington, the organisation rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes domestic animals and wildlife. Equine welfare forms an active part of its operations, with dedicated support provided for horse rescue, rehabilitation, adoption enquiries, and animal welfare concerns. HUHA also delivers disaster response services, community education campaigns, animal care advice, and assistance with lost or surrendered animals. The charity is supported by volunteer teams, fundraising initiatives, an online store, and physical op shops. Its programs aim to empower communities, promote animal welfare reform, and provide ongoing shelter and rehoming solutions for horses and other animals in need.
