Horse ownership share cost calculator

See what your share of a horse in training costs per month and per year, with GST shown separately. Enter your share, the trainer's daily rate and the whole-horse monthly extras. Whether you can claim GST credits or deductions depends on whether your racing activity is a business, and the ATO's general view is that racing on its own usually isn't. Talk to a registered tax agent before you buy. Australia only.
