About

Tasmanian Equine Endurance Riders Association Inc., also known as TEERA, is the state governing organisation for endurance horse riding in Tasmania, affiliated with the Australian Equestrian Riding Association (AERA). The association oversees and coordinates endurance riding events and series across the state, including introductory rides of five, ten, and twenty kilometres, intermediate forty-two kilometre rides, and eighty kilometre endurance competitions. Events run under TEERA guidelines feature structured veterinary inspections, completion awards, and Best Conditioned Horse judging across junior, lightweight, middleweight, and heavyweight divisions. Historical and long-running fixtures on the calendar include rides in Sassafras and Scottsdale, as well as the Tasmanian State Championships and national Tom Quilty events. TEERA manages rider records, historical logbooks, and timing systems to support equine welfare and competitive endurance riding statewide.
