About

The Pony Club Association of the Northern Territory, commonly known as PCANT, is the overarching state body for pony clubs across the Northern Territory and a branch of the Pony Club Association of Australia. Established in the early 1960s, the grassroots, not-for-profit organisation oversees five member clubs spanning Darwin, Noonamah, Litchfield, Katherine, and Alice Springs. PCANT promotes riding instruction, horse management, and safety for riders of all ages. The association supports affiliated clubs with event coordination, governance, safety documentation, and guidelines, while also facilitating accredited training pathways for coaches, judges, and adjudicators. Through regular rallies, clinics, and competitions, PCANT connects rural and regional equestrian communities across the territory, helping riders develop horsemanship skills and access local, state, and national competition pathways.
