About
Formed in 2007, the Victorian Brumby Association is a volunteer charity dedicated to the rescue, care, and rehoming of wild Brumbies taken from public lands. The organisation operates the Brumby Junction Sanctuary in Glenlogie, Victoria, providing a secure farm environment where horses adjust to domestic life around other animals and machinery. Every Brumby receives veterinary care, with colts and stallions gelded upon arrival. Horses that are not suited to domestic placement receive lifetime sanctuary at the property. Alongside rescue operations, the association conducts public education, gentling clinics, and the Australian Brumby Challenge, while working with government authorities to advocate for non lethal wild horse management.
