About
Sonshine Ranch is an outdoor adventure centre and Christian camp situated 25 kilometres from Auckland Airport. The facility provides a broad equestrian program, including group lessons, private tuition, horse treks, pony leads, and holiday camps, while also hosting the Ardmore Pony Club. Term-time group lessons are designed for young riders aged eight to eighteen years, grouping four to seven participants by skill level. Sessions cover horse management, grooming, and saddling alongside ridden work, taking advantage of diverse riding areas both inside and outside the arena. Individual 45-minute private lessons and shared lessons are also available for children and adults wanting focused training tailored to their preferred equestrian disciplines. Helmets and back protectors are supplied, and an 80-kilogram weight limit applies across all riding activities.
