About
Shory Park Horses is an equine retraining and sales preparation facility operating in Victoria. Recognised as an official Racing Victoria Acknowledged Retrainer, the team retrains and rehomes more than 150 off the track thoroughbreds every year. Horses undergo comprehensive physical assessments, health checks by body workers, dentists, and farriers, and a minimum three-month spelling period to let down before commencing groundwork and ridden schooling. The facility also provides specialised sales preparation and training packages for all breeds, handling everything from ponies to eventers, re-education, and returning horses to work after injury. Onsite amenities include private paddocks with Equirope fencing, an all-weather sixty by thirty metre arena, an undercover roundyard, stables, hot wash bays, and jumping equipment. Follow-up coaching is also offered to support buyers after rehoming.
