About
Established in 1883, the Moonee Valley Racing Club conducts thoroughbred horseracing in Moonee Ponds, Victoria. Famous as the home of the W.S. Cox Plate weight-for-age championship and a pioneer of Australian night racing, the club oversees a rich racing heritage. Moonee Valley Racecourse is undergoing a precinct redevelopment featuring a new track alignment and facilities, with racing scheduled to return to The Valley for the 2027/28 season. During this transformation period, race fixtures are transferred to venues including Flemington, Southside Racing, Geelong, and the Melbourne Racing Club. The organisation continues to operate membership services and private event spaces across its hospitality network, including Legends, TOTE Bar and Dining, and Junction Club.
