About
Freedom Hill Sanctuary is a registered not-for-profit charity established on a 200-acre property in Monarto South, South Australia. Founded by Kym Henley, the sanctuary offers a permanent home and rehabilitation for rescued farm animals, including horses, donkeys, sheep, goats, pigs, cows, and deer that have faced abandonment, abuse, or neglect. With close to two hundred animals cared for on site, the organisation focuses on long-term welfare, providing feed, shelter, and medical attention. While many animals live out their lives at the sanctuary, selected rescues are rehomed to approved adoptive families. Freedom Hill Sanctuary relies on public donations, feed sponsorships, bequest giving, merchandise sales, and dedicated volunteer support. The organisation also works to educate the public about animal welfare and promote compassionate, cruelty-free living.
