About
Formed over 65 years ago, Dressage Canterbury is an equestrian organisation operating under Dressage NZ, a discipline of Equestrian Sports New Zealand. Based at the Dunstan Horsefeeds National Equestrian Centre on McLeans Island Road in Christchurch, the club provides regular dressage competitions and training opportunities for riders of all skill levels, catering to both registered and unregistered combinations. The annual calendar features the Spring Series, the Canterbury Championships Premier League show, winter non-graded competition days, protocol days, and the Festival of Future Stars. Educational evenings and coaching clinics are organised outside the main competition season to support ongoing development. The McLeans Island venue provides multiple all-weather arenas, covered yards, camping facilities, and hacking areas for members and event participants across the Canterbury region.
